In view of the Covid-19 legislation enacted by the Ontario government and given our strong desire to protect the health and safety of everyone in our communities, this year’s AGM will be held entirely virtually on November 25, 2020. We will be providing further information as we move closer to the date.

Consistent with prior years, we will be holding elections with online voting.  A change in the composition of the Board has opened up an opportunity for a nominee to fill an open position as Director. This means we will be filling 4 Director positions during the AGM.

Three incumbents will be seeking new terms:
Sebastian Kraft (Dungannon) has completed one 3-year term;
Henry Vander Burgt (Dashwood) has completed two 3-year terms and,
Peter Dinsmore (Gorrie) has completed three 3-year terms.

The 4th Director is an open position. Mr. William Wallace, our Secretary of the Co-operative for the last 15 years is retiring effective November 25th, 2020 and Mr. Robert Cornelis has been appointed as the Secretary of the Co-operative. Therefore, Robert Cornelis’ position of Director is open for a director nominee and will not be contested by an incumbent. 

Nominations for new Directors must be submitted prior to this Thursday October 15, 2020 and under the bylaws of our Co-op, members cannot be nominated from the floor at the meeting. 

Time is running out for nominations. If you know of a candidate who you believe will represent the members of Hensall Co-op well as a Director on our Board, we encourage you to nominate him or her using one of the following options:

• By delivering the nomination form in person to the Secretary of the Co-operative, Mr. William Wallace;
• By facsimile transmission addressed to the Secretary of the Co-operative at (519) 262-2450;
