Hensall Co-op is seeking a dynamic individual to become an integral member of our team! The Credit Manager will manage the daily activities of the AR/Credit Department, liaise with partners, conduct credit reviews and establish credit limits, and provide exceptional service to our customers and members. This a full-time position at our Hensall location.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the daily activities of the AR/Credit Department
  • Ensure all team members understand the credit and collections policies and procedures
  • Conduct credit reviews of new and existing customers to determine credit worthiness, establish credit limits for both Domestic and Export accounts
  • Resolve credit-related issues with customers
  • Collect all overdue accounts, collection accounts, and previously written-off accounts
  • Work collaboratively with sales staff to resolve outstanding account issues
  • Provide personable and professional customer service experience to customers, members, and investors
  • Processing of online payments
  • Liaise with Farm Credit Canada and other partners
  • Ensure that all HC employees understand the credit policies, procedures, and controls so that they can be followed correctly
  • Attend member functions, farm shows, grower meetings and other corporate events to network with current and potential customers/members
  • Meet members and potential members to discuss their investment needs
  • Provide support to the Membership & Customer Service Officer
  • Establish priorities, initiate new ideas and concepts to deal with problems, and to improve efficiency
  • Understand and follow all HC Health and Safety and Environmental policies and procedures
  • All other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements:
  • Superior customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of accounting/accounts receivable principles and applications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and speak in public settings
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Strong business acumen and decision-making capabilities

 

Required Qualifications:
  • Post-Secondary Education in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related program

  • 3-5 years of experience in the financial services industry
