We are currently seeking a dedicated, self-driven individual to join our Human Resources team to assist with servicing our employees. This position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager and will work out of the Hensall location. 

 

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate all aspects of the talent acquisition process including development of job descriptions, job advertisements, selection of candidates, facilitating interviews, background checks, employment offers, onboarding, etc. 

  • Serve as ambassador of the division by welcoming candidates upon arrival, and ensuring needs are met while on site

  • Oversee various HR programs including service awards, social events, employment equity, etc. 

  • Administration of benefit and pension program including new hire information sessions, enrollment in online portal, annual wage updates, annual renewals, etc.

  • Establish and track key human resources performance indicators

  • Responds to HR related inquiries from managers and employees, and/or redirects to other team members as required

  • Develop and distribute HR/company policies, procedures and memorandums to appropriate individuals, division, and departments

  • Coordinates and undertakes special HR projects as assigned

 

Job Requirements:
  • Strong, effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including a strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to create and deliver presentations
  • Highly developed teamwork and organizational skills
  • Well organized with professional conduct and ability to maintain confidential information

 

Required Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in a Human Resources related program or currently working towards  
  • Minimum of 2+ years in a similar position
  • CHRP designation considered an asset
