We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to become an integral part of our Team at our Aylmer location. This is a contract position expected to run from November 2023 until December 2024. The Location Manager has oversight for service of crop inputs and procurement to customers and prospects in the surrounding area. This position is also responsible for ensuring a high level of customer service is provided and overseeing the general operations at the location.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Operations team to maximize efficiencies and manage daily operations at the Aylmer location
  • Work on developing strategies that drive and promote the HC Aylmer location
  • Promote and facilitate food grade production opportunities for growers
  • Operate and maintain the location in compliance with federal and provincial legislation as well as company polices and procedures
  • Oversee all operations at HC Aylmer, including supervising full and part-time staff
  • Maintain regular contact with customers and prospects to ensure customer satisfaction and capitalize on opportunities
  • Ensure all customer needs are met and required products are available
  • Responsible for all procedures surrounding inventory, including counts/recounts
  • Promote Food Grade production opportunities with Food Producers
  • Work closely with the Operations Management team to focus on continuous improvements in operating procedures

 

Job Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of agricultural and custom application practices
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • High degree of technical agricultural knowledge
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines for sales targets and projects
  • Computer skills including proficiency in MS Word and Excel
  • Capable of building strong working relationships within and outside Hensall Co-op

 

Required Qualifications:
  • Pesticide Vendors Certification Course or willingness to obtain
  • Post-secondary education in Agricultural or business-related program an asset
  • 3-5 years of experience in an agri-business setting, prior supervisory or managerial experience an asset
