Join our team at Hensall Co-op and step into the role of Business Manager within our Energy Division. We are in search of a highly motivated individual to play a pivotal role in our dynamic energy sector. As the Business Manager, you will hold a key leadership position, overseeing finance, administration, sales, operations, and our delivery fleet functions. This position will be instrumental in shaping the strategic direction, operational efficiency, and financial stability of our division.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan for the Energy Division, aligning it with Hensall Co-op's mission, values, and broader objectives
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Energy Division, including our delivery fleet, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and prioritizing customer satisfaction
  • Manage the division's financial health by developing budgets, financial forecasts, and conducting in-depth financial performance analysis
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance operational processes to drive productivity, reduce costs, and uphold high standards of customer service
  • Collaborate with the sales team to achieve set goals, drive revenue growth, and ensure customer satisfaction through effective sales strategies and techniques
  • Ensure the division consistently delivers exceptional customer service, with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction, retention, and loyalty
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, regulatory authorities, and industry partners
  • Recruit, mentor, and empower a high-performing team, while fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and accountability
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols and sustainability practices in alignment with industry standards
  • Undertake all other duties as assigned


Job Requirements:
  • A strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to lead a diverse team, foster innovation, and adapt to evolving market conditions


 Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3+ years of proven business and team building leadership experience
  • Prior experience within the energy sector is considered an asset
  • University or college diploma in business management, administration, finance, or another related program is preferred but not required
