We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, detail orientated individual to lead and manage our maintenance team of approximately twenty employees. This is a full-time position located at our Hensall location.   


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to the entire maintenance team, including millwrights, electricians, and mechanics
  • Plan, direct, supervise and make decisions related to all activities of the maintenance department 
  • Maintain strong working relationships and negotiate service agreements with external suppliers/contractors
  • Collaborate with Central Hub Manager to develop annual budgets and plan capital projects
  • Create and accurately maintain project schedules to ensure targets are achieved and deadlines met
  • Prepare estimates on time, money and resources for all Hensall Co-op maintenance jobs
  • Create and implement metrics to monitor and create efficiencies within the department
  • Work with and manage third party contractors while on site and oversee the contractor program 
  • Train Hensall Co-op location personnel on proper preventative maintenance techniques and inspect facilities to identify and resolve any issues
  • Ensure all maintenance logs are maintained and filed appropriately to ensure quick and easy access to documents


Job Requirements:

  • Superior leadership/management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record directing a team, managing capital projects and preventative maintenance planning
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and manage operational budgets
  • Proficient computer skills including MS office
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to prepare reports and maintain accurate records
  • Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical practices


Required Qualifications:

  • 7 - 10 years of supervisory/managerial experience is required
  • Post-Secondary education in a maintenance or project management related program is an asset
  • Previous experience in a maintenance related role is an asset
