Hensall Foods, a division of Hensall Co-op is currently looking for a hard working, dynamic individual to join our team in the role of Material Handler at our Exeter location. The Material Handler is responsible for a variety of duties, including loading, unloading, and moving products. The Material Handler is also accountable for checking received orders and confirming that all inventory transactions are completed and documented in the electronic inventory control program.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or equipment
• Use a forklift and other industrial equipment for unloading and moving products when needed
• May perform other activities such as assisting in taking inventory and weighing/checking materials
• Assemble customer orders and prepare for shipping, including stacking, wrapping, and labelling products
• Pick material from the storage locations and staged them for production maintaining electronic traceability
• Participate in clean-up and maintenance
• Co-ordinate periodic inventory counts for raw and finished products
• Perform other handling duties such as counting, weighing and sorting
• Put away received materials to proper storage locations
• Confirm inventory transactions are complete
• Other duties as required

Job Requirements:

• WHMIS certification
• Occasionally working in a freezer and a cooler during the shift
• Able to operate a manual and an electric pallet truck
• Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
• Knowledge of safe lifting and handling techniques
• Must be able to carry and move equipment and/or supplies more weighing than 50 pounds (23 kg)

Required Qualifications:

• Post-Secondary education in an agricultural or business-related program
• Minimum of two years’ experience working as a materials handler in a warehouse/shipping environment
• Must have a valid G Driver’s license
• Forklift operator's license
