Hensall Co-op is seeking a detail-oriented and results driven individual to become an integral member of our IT team! This is a full-time, permanent position working out of our Ailsa Craig location. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between our agricultural operations and IT, ensuring that our software applications are aligned with the business requirements and are adequately maintained and supported.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements related to agricultural operations
  • Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand business needs and translate them into functional specifications for IT projects
  • Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement through technology
  • Assist in the planning, execution and monitoring of IT projects, ensuring they meet business requirements and are delivered on time and within budget
  • Analyze data from various sources to provide actionable insights that support decision-making
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the success of IT initiatives
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and issues to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle
  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure effective adoption of new systems and processes
  • Provided ongoing day-to-day level 2 support for existing third-party business applications

 

Job Requirements:
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering IT projects that meet business needs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

 

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in an agricultural or related industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Agricultural Science or a related field (equivalent work experience will also be considered)
  • Understanding of agricultural processes and systems is considered a strong asset
