Hensall Co-op is seeking a skilled and experienced Cyber Security & Network Analyst with all the currently relevant Cybersecurity certifications as well as a strong technical background in network systems to join our team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, monitor and audit security measures to protect the organization’s network, systems, and data
• Monitor and analyze security alerts from various systems and respond to potential threats
• Manage and configure security tools such as intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), anti-virus software, and firewalls
• Work with outside vendors to ensure we have the correct tools to protect our environment
• Lead investigations and response to security breaches and incidents.
• Perform forensic analysis to determine the root cause of incidents and recommend mitigation strategies
• Conduct training sessions and tests for employees on security best practices and policies
• Stay updated with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and technologies to best provide recommendations
• Configure, manage and maintain network devices
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation and connectivity
• Implement and manage VPNs, VLANs, and other network segmentation techniques
• Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and security policies
• Prepare and present regular reports on network performance, security posture, and incident responses

Job Requirements:

• Proficiency with network tools (e.g., Sonicwall, Wireshark)
• Proficiency with security tools (e.g. S.O.A.R., XDR, EDR)
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS
• Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High level of integrity and professionalism

Required Qualifications:

• Cyber Security training, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology
• 3-5 years of combined experience in cyber security and network administration
• Hands-on experience with network hardware and software
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• CompTIA Network+
• AWS Networking
• SonicWall Certifications on Network and Security considered an asset
